Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe, Tagaytay

Dreamland arts and crafts cafe

Dreamland arts and crafts cafe is situated along Calamba Road in San Jose, Tagaytay. This Kitsch Restaurant is ideal for a social media brag for its unique concept and interiors a lot of customers are coming-in out of curiousity. From the outside, driving pass the road of Tagaytay I bet you will not notice the restaurant, it isn't too colorful and winsome to get noticed from the outside. We had our staycation at Nordic Homestay Tagaytay (CityLand, Prime Residences), I realized we had our luck on hand as it sits beside DreamLand Arts and Crafts Cafe along with two other good restaurants (Cafe Nativo and the Red Bus cafe). When we all thought we had the luck on our side reality suddenly hit us when we found out it was closed the day we were there, I heard my gasp echoed. I just hoped it open the next day. As a good alternative to the cafe of our choice we just checked some other restaurants around and settled for a Bulalo dinner, it wasn’t a bad day after all.

The next day we gave it until noon time to guarantee that we were not just too early to dine in, we then checked the cafe at around 12NN and good heavens it was open! Once we entered the cafe we were astounded by its engrossing dreamland theme. Dream catchers in different unique styles were all over, there were figurines, jars, quotable quotes in frames, silhouette hanging fabrics on the ceiling and other teeny-weeny adornments placed everywhere. They also sell locally made products in the cafe.

I was expecting a waiting game, I anticipated a long queue before they get our orders but it seemed we were over thinking. It took us summers and winters to place our orders. We couldn't choose what to order, there are good number of food options on their menu that we couldn't decide what to get. When we finally placed our orders that's when the waiting game came in the picture, that's the only feedback I'd like them to improve, though I never knew what was happening behind their kitchen but yeah we waited too long or maybe they could have given us a heads up as a courtesy, at least, so we can set the expectation right. We noticed people coming in and giving out their orders, to our surprise the ones ordered after us got their food in no time, we also had our number queued (placed on our table) so I assumed no way we didn't give it. When I made a follow up they looked at each other puzzled only to find out that we were waiting for nothing, again, they provided us our number in queue therefore orders should have been made.

Our disappointment slowly extinguished when the food finally arrived, we didn't order much but we relished the food we ordered. It is inexpensive yet delightful. The Jammin’s Spicy Herby Potato Wedges only cost 135Php and it's already for sharing (sharing for 3-4), the yema cake is only 85Php for a big slice (sharing for two),  Sans Dreamvals for 160Php, Mocha Belle (Mocha Blend) for 150Php, Mango Smoothie Patothie (1 flavor only) for 125Php. The food compensated the entire experience we had at Dreamland Crafts and Arts Cafe, I couldn't set aside the existing charm of the place wherever I turn my head, it's a blend of sheer allure and artistry in one spot. However, I will only rate Dreamland Arts and Crafts Café a 7 out of 10 rating.
Shout out to the lady crew who seemed annoyed when I was taking photos of their place and when I was making a follow up for the orders that in the first place never our fault delayed, sorry for the bother.
