Caffe Nativo, Tagaytay

Cafe Nativo

As we were enjoying our stay at Nordic Homes Tagaytay I never thought the area is also a haven of unspeakable delight for foodies. I just knew there are good restaurants nearby enough to cover our quick vacation but not something grand, I was expecting a regular fancy restaurant that offers typical dishes or something we can only try in Tagaytay. Well, not until we found out that three thematic restaurants are just clustering this spot in Tagaytay, there's Caffe Nativo, The Red Bus Cafe and The Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe, what else could we ask for? Let me share my voluptous dining experience at Caffe Nativo, first.

This blog review came unexpectedly, I was originally eyeing for the Red Bus Cafe and The Dreamland Arts and Crafts but since the owner of Caffe Nativo has this friendlier and more welcoming approach I settled to prioritize this (yes, I always go for better customer service experience).

The photos couldn't give an equal view of what Caffe Nativo looks like, the ambiance of the cafe is better in a first person experience than just seeing the photos, trust me. The interior was primarily something you will notice, our heads turned everywhere through its unconventional theme and area was also spacious. We ordered the breakfast dishes (silog) and pasta, while waiting for the food I noticed this guy carrying an infant and serving the guests at the same time, I'd never seen a restaurant crew allowed to do this so I figured maybe he's the owner, I'm right! I politely asked him if I can take a photo of them, he was too generous to agree and muttered the baby to look at the camera if I heard it right he said "selfie selfie" pointing to my camera, to my surprise the baby threw a big smile then after the shot his face changed to its normal expression too. I went back to my seat puzzled if the infant really understood what that meant, that was funny.

I continued observing the cafe, it was very detailed and cohesive, even the ceiling was painted with different characters and images, you will definitely get entertained with these hand painted wall arts and calligraphy.

It didn't take long for the food to get served, it was served in less than 10 minutes and we finished it pretty quick too.

I watched how they treated their guests, apart from the sumptious food they served I felt the heart for what they do and I deeply appreciate that, the owner was very hands on. I will surely give this place a 10 out of 10 rating for a comfy and delightful dining experience. I will see you again Caffe  Nativo.
