Liwliwa Surfing Beach in San Felipe, Zambales

As part of my recent Zambales getaway we halted a quick stop to spend our spare time and remaining day off work, it wasn't well planned than the itinerary for Hermana Menor but this one was unexpectedly diverting. It all started in getting our accommodation booked. First, we booked a dormitory room at HideOut owned by Ian Limbonis back in Manila, right after the trip to Hermana Menor we traveled 3 hours heading back to San Felipe, from Sta.Cruz to San Felipe just ask the bus conductor to drop you off the town proper of San Felipe, from there ride a tricycle going to HideOut Lodge in Liwliwa. Liwliwa beach is an adventure playground, a surfer's paradise that houses the abundance of less pricy accommodation, a perfect spot for both thrill seekers and the ones who simply want to disconnect to the disquieting life in the city.

Looking at its huge waves we can tell that it is a  surfing beach, I'm not into beach surfing so I couldn't tell if the waves were normal or too massive, we just noticed that no one dared to play with their boards or maybe it's just the lean season. For the entire Zambales trip, we had enough of this set up (gloomy weather and raging waves) so we spent the entire day at our dwelling and relaxed.

HideOut was the perfect place to spend days in Liwliwa, it's a bit distant from the beach (5-10 minute walk) and to other neighboring accommodation but you will surely enjoy the serenity of the place. We were the only visitors when we had a visit, we felt as if we rented the entire place just for ourselves, the staff and the owner were also very accommodating.  I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who will visit Liwliwa. A Perfect place to stay in a perfect spot!

How to get there?

-      From Manila ride a bus bound to San Felipe (270Php) Tell the driver that you’re heading to Liwliwa and ask the drop off point. Travel duration is 4 hours.
-      From the drop off point ride a tricycle to HideOut, they know where it is. (30 pesos each).
